Western Riverside County has been shaped by the outward migration from urban centers in Los Angeles and Orange County. While the promise of affordable homes has been at the heart of the development of the region, the high rate of growth has brought questions about the commuter lifestyle, congestion, and the local jobs/housing balance.

Where will we live in the future? Is there another way instead of sprawling suburbs? What will our communities look like? Where will we work? How will we get there?

These community issues are at the heart of WRCOG’s research and planning policy development.
